Tropical Storm Erika Update
Jackson Health System is open for business and operating as usual.
With voter’s approval of the Jackson Miracle Bond in 2013, the seed for our $1.8 billion capital plan, Jackson Health System embarked on an ambitious outreach effort to connect with community organizations representing Miami-Dade County’s small and diverse businesses. Jackson staff not only joined, participated in and listened to the concerns of these organizations; we set out to educate the community on how to do business with the one of the nation’s largest public hospital systems.
The six major projects have been designed, contracts with four construction management firms have been signed, and construction is poised to begin. The next step in continuing efforts to keep our community partners informed is Jackson’s Outreach Roundtable. During each roundtable, construction managers and Jackson leadership provide organizations with updates progress of the projects as well as vital dates for pre-qualification events for subcontractors.
Materials for each of these Outreach Roundtables is available in this location. These materials will answer many questions on Jackson’s efforts to be good community partners as we proudly provide a platform for diversity and inclusion.
This is the least we can do for a community that has provided so much support and displayed confidence in our efforts to build a new Jackson Health System for the people of Miami-Dade County.
