The teaching curriculum has been carefully structured to cover the entire spectrum of hand surgery in a series of weekly conferences. These conferences are the joint responsibility of the fellows and faculty on the hand surgery service. They are held on Monday morning at the Miami VA.  The discussions involve presentations following the American Society for Surgery of the Hand’s “Crucial elements in hand surgery” presentations and are typically case-based, with didactic lectures as well.

Furthermore there are plastic surgery grand rounds on Wednesday mornings, didactic conferences on Thursday mornings and journal club’s monthly.
