Popular neighborhoods in Miami including Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Little Havana, Wywnood, Design District, Edgewater, and South Beach. Each neighborhood provides a vibrant array of housing, culture, and entertainment options. Directions to Jackson Memorial Hospital

From the North on I-95

  • Exit I-95 onto SR 836 West. Stay in the right lane and take the first exit which is N.W. 14th Street
  • Continue west on N.W. 14th Street to N.W. 12th Avenue
  • Turn right onto N.W. 12th Avenue
  • The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center entrance is on your right, just past the intersection of N.W. 14th Street
  • Make a right at the second light (N.W. 16th Street) to park in the Park Plaza West Green Parking Garage
  • The Main Entrance to Jackson Memorial Hospital is located at the third light, N.W. 19th Street
  • The Main Entrance building is home to the Diagnostic Treatment Center. The North Blue Parking Garage is conveniently located across from this facility.

From the South on I-95

  • Exit I-95 onto SR 836 West. Move to the right lane to exit onto N.W. 12th Avenue
  • Turn right from the exit ramp onto N.W. 12th Avenue. Continue north one block
  • The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center entrance is on your right, just past the intersection of N.W. 14th Street
  • Make a right at the second light (N.W. 16th Street) to park in the Park Plaza West Green Parking Garage
  • The Main Entrance to Jackson Memorial Hospital is located at the third light, N.W. 19th Street
  • The Main Entrance building is home to the Diagnostic Treatment Center. The North Blue Parking Garage is conveniently located across from this facility.

From the West (836/826)
From the Dolphin Expressway (DR 836), the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) the airport and others points west:

  • Take SR 836 East and exit at N.W. 17th Avenue heading north to the Civic Center/Hospitals
  • On the exit ramp, bear left and turn right onto N.W. 17th Avenue
  • Cross the bridge and turn right at the first traffic light onto North River Drive
  • Make the first left onto N.W. 13th Terrace
  • Turn right on N.W. 14th Street and turn left onto N.W. 12th Avenue
  • The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center entrance is immediately on your right
  • Make a right at the second light (N.W. 16th Street) to park in the Park Plaza West Green Parking Garage
  • The Main Entrance to Jackson Memorial Hospital is located at the third light, N.W. 19th Street
  • The Main Entrance building is home to the Diagnostic Treatment Center. The North Blue Parking Garage is conveniently located across from this facility.

The following public transportation is also available to take you to the UM/Jackson Medical Center

Metrorail: Exit Metrorail at the Civic Center Station on N.W. 12th Avenue. Sylvester is just south of the station on the east side of N.W. 12th Avenue. The entrance to Jackson Memorial Hospital is just north of the station on the east side of N.W. 12th Avenue.

Tri-Rail: Take the Tri-Rail south to the Metrorail station at 79th Street in Hialeah. Take Metrorail south and exit at the Civic Center Station on N.W. 12th Avenue. Sylvester is just south of the station on the east side of N.W. 12th Avenue. The entrance to Jackson Memorial Hospital is just north of the station on the east side of N.W. 12th Avenue.

Bus: For information on bus routes and transfers, call Miami-Dade County's Metro Bus at 305-638-6700 between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Apart from the picturesque beaches, Miami Beach features a myriad of entertainment options.  The art deco architecture on South Beach is iconic, and strolling down Ocean Drive provides visitors an opportunity to dine and people watch right by the ocean. The Miami Beach area is split between South Beach and Miami Beach, with hotels, dining, and nightlife options sprinkled throughout the city.

An up and coming arts district, Wynwood features restaurants, bars, and art on every block. Wynwood Walls is a must see attraction, showcasing art from Shepard Fairey and Ron English. Once a month, the galleries open their doors and the neighborhood hosts an Art Walk, where guests can peruse art while enjoying cocktails at one of Wynwood’s many watering holes.

Another must see for art lovers is the Perez Art Museum Miami, which sits right on Biscayne Bay. The museum recently opened and features a revolving collection of international artists. The onsite restaurant, Verde, features indoor and outdoor seating and an array of locally inspired dishes.

Live music aficionados can enjoy shows at the American Airlines Arena, the Fillmore Miami Beach, Bayfront Ampitheatre, plus smaller local venues featuring some of Miami’s greatest talent. Sports fans can enjoy watching the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena, while baseball fans can take in a game at the new Marlins Park.
