Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital

Jackson Mental Health Hospital offers a variety of mental health services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. We also provide a variety of support groups for patients and their families. From assessment and admission through treatment and discharge, all services are provided in a structured, supportive and safe environment. We are committed to meeting the needs of each client at each stage of treatment.

Jackson South Community Hospital

Jackson South Community Hospital offers confidential comprehensive services for moments of crisis to inpatient stabilization. We provide diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment plans, therapeutic groups, individual therapy, family support services, medication management, and refer patients to community outpatient services upon discharge.

Patients are cared for by psychiatrists and a team of specialists that include assessment specialists, psychiatric nurses, clinical social workers, activity therapists, mental health specialists and medical physicians.

Jackson South Community Hospital’s Behavioral Health Emergency Intake and Adult Inpatient Services are located on the first level of the main hospital.

Jackson Community Mental Health Center

Jackson North Community Mental Health Center (JNCMHC), founded in July 2003, is a Joint Commission-accredited, community-based, multi-service organization that provides a wide array of comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for co-occurring adults and children with severe persistent mental illness and substance abuse problems in the north and northwestern sections of Miami-Dade County.

Services & Specialties

Our goal is to provide a single high standard of healthcare, education and research, as well as to improve patient and customer satisfaction, enhance professional fulfillment and provide public service. We strive to be the best every day and demonstrate our commitment to quality and value by providing outstanding and compassionate clinical care, meaningful research and innovative education.

JNCMHC provides services to more than 3,000 adults and children annually, including:

  • Adult mental health and substance abuse services
  • Adult case management
  • Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services
  • Children's mental health and substance abuse services
  • Children's case management
  • Adult and child medication management
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Anger and stress management
  • Crisis stabilization and detoxification services
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Help for individuals seeking employment with partnering agencies

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services
Therapeutic and social rehabilitation groups, anger management, stress management, understanding mental illness, etc.
Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Adult Case Management
Advocacy, assessment, brokerage, linkage, service planning and monitoring services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residential Programs

Serenity House (Female)
Six-bed assisted living facility for women who are in need of 24-hour supervision due to persistent mental illness.

Supportive Housing
Apartments, located in the community for clients with mental illnesses who are able to function independently in the community.

Satellite Branch Services

Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
A 20-bed Baker Act-receiving facility that provides psychiatric inpatient care for those 18 years and older.
24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Detoxification Unit
Provides inpatient substance abuse medical detoxification for adults 18 years and older.
24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Emergency Services Unit
Mental health/substance abuse assessment, screening and emergency evaluation for adults with substance abuse mental health problems.

Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management
Psychiatric evaluation and treatment for both children and adults.
Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Adult Clinical Services
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management treatment for adults.

Adult Outpatient Services
Mental health substance abuse assessment, evaluation, and individual and group therapy for adults diagnosed with persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse or co-occurring problems.
Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF)
Assessment, case management, screening and treatment services are available to those with employment and family instability. Also for families 200% below the poverty level.
Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
