WalkAbout Brain Injury

Jackson is partnering with the Brain Injury Association of Florida, Inc. to honor people with brain injuries and help raise awareness and dollars for this important cause. The walk is FREE. You can join the Jackson Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital team or register and/or donate at www.biaf.org/walkabout. All proceeds support the Brain Injury Association of Florida, Inc.

Transcon

Jackson supports everyone in our community and we are partnering with the Aqua Foundation for this informative two- day conference. This is a free conference for women of the transgender community in South Florida. During the job fair portion of the conference, Jackson will be there to showcase the different career opportunities available throughout our health system.

Carnaval on the Mile

Carnaval on the Mile is a free music and art festival in the heart of Coral Gables. Enjoy dozens of musical acts with performances from PALO!, Suenalo, The Pedrito Martinez Group, and many more. Stop by the Jackson booth to take a rumbera photo and receive a free selfie-stick.

Calle Ocho

The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana invites visitors from around the globe to the largest Hispanic street festival in the Southeastern United States during the 39th Annual Calle Ocho Festival or “El Festival de la Calle Ocho.”. More than one million event-goers join the internationally renowned block party to celebrate Hispanic cultures from around the world on Miami’s legendary Calle Ocho (Southwest Eighth8th sStreet) and Jackson is joining them again this year! Come by our booth for great health tips and some fun giveaways.

Equality Florida Miami Gala

This sparkling, fun event in support and celebration of the inspiring and successful work of Equality Florida includes cocktails and sumptuous delicious hors d’oeuvres. Alberto Carvalho, Ssuperintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, will present LGBT Youth Advocate Lisa La Monica with Equality Florida’s Voice for Equality Award. Jackson is a proud supporter of Equality Florida and their initiatives.

NWS Yoga Mornings

Calling all yogis! Yoga Mornings at the New World Symphony is a monthly outdoor community vinyasa yoga series at Miami Beach SoundScape, in front of the New World Center. Jackson Health System has partnered with the New World Symphony, and will be providing hot/cold packs for those achy muscles after your workout.

New World Symphony WALLCAST™

Join Jackson for a variety of WALLCAST™ concerts at the New World Symphony. Take a blanket, share a picnic dinner, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the New World Symphony with friends and family! Each WALLCAST™ concert is free to the public and does not require a ticket, but early arrival is suggested.
