Why I Check

The #WhyICheck campaign began in 2015, by asking women a simple question: why is breast health important to you? The campaign quickly became about individuals telling stories of perseverance, hope, and preparedness in the face of breast cancer. It became about the importance of checking oneself, via self-exam, mammogram, or ultrasound. Women explained why they checked regularly. Whether in honor of a friend or a family member, or to show their daughters that there is nothing to be scared of; whether doing it for others or doing it for themselves, every reason told a story. These are just a few of those stories, along with resources to promote the importance of being proactive with your breast health.
