In celebration of April being National Minority Health Month, Jackson Health System partnered with many community organizations to set up health fairs in different parts of Miami-Dade County. The first health fair was held on Saturday, April 18 at the New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church and featured a farmers market, kiddie village, and job fair. Jackson Health System was on hand to provide free health screenings, including body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, and cholesterol.
