The Jackson South Medical Center Podiatry and Foot and ankle surgery residency program focuses on all subspecialties of Podiatric Medicine with an emphasis on foot & ankle trauma. From our large pool of competitive applicants from all of the nine podiatric schools of podiatric medicine nationwide, a single resident is selectively chosen to participate in a three-year PMSR/RRA. The podiatry program encompasses a highly structured surgical and didactic curriculum while affording a very high case volume. Residents receive their surgical training in cutting edge technique through board certified Podiatric faculty physicians as well as orthopedic, trauma, and vascular surgeons. Surgical emphasis is placed on all aspects of podiatric medicine including diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma and elective forefoot and rear foot reconstruction.
