This is a weekly parenting class which covers a range of topics including labor, delivery options, baby care and safety and breastfeeding. Our instructors help determine what topics are covered at each class based on attendees' needs and prior participation. This class is taught by AVANTI, an affiliate of Healthy Start Coalition.

Who should enroll: Everyone attending 16 and older
The Prenatal Education Class Series consists of four classes that are designed to be taken in sequential order: Labor I; Labor II; Variations of Delivery & Medical Interventions; Breastfeeding And Baby Care & Safety. A maternity unit tour is included with this class. * We recommend that you take our prenatal education classes between week thirty and thirty-six of your pregnancy, however please be sure to register early.

Who should enroll: Expectant mom - ONE support person is welcome to attend as a guest. (Do NOT enroll guest.)
The Parenting/Breastfeeding Class is led by the Healthy Start Coalition Team providers. The courses are provided in a one day session with education to our expecting mothers and families. The course focuses on parenting, lactation, breastfeeding techniques, health care issues, nutritional tips, benefits of breastfeeding, baby safety and breast pump resources.
