Nursing Care is led by a Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) who directs the system-wide strategic planning for nursing. The CNE also oversees the direct-reporting departments of the Center for Nursing Excellence, Nursing Education, Nursing Informatics and Central Staffing and Placement Center on the main campus. The CNE is a transformational leader who believes that bedside staff input into decision-making that impacts practice assures frontline staff participation in hospital affairs.

Nursing Care is provided at 6 organizational structures that are locally led by a Chief Nursing Officer and include Jackson Memorial Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital/Women’s, Jackson South Community Hospital, Jackson North Medical Center, Jackson Mental Health Hospital, and Ambulatory Care Services (including Corrections Health Services).
