- ER B provides care for acutely ill and injured adult patients, such as “Brain Attack”, ST Elevation MI (STEMI), severe endocrine disorders (DKA), acute ingestion and intoxications, as well as those with infectious diseases.
- Our philosophy is to provide compassionate and highly skilled care to those that seek emergent and/or life threatening care.
Size & Type
The unit has 27 spaces all capable of Telemetry monitoring. 4 of the rooms provide isolation with negative airflow. There is an asthma room for stable patients with asthma and COPD exacerbations.
36 RNs (all ACLS certified); 8 Senior Emergency Room Technicians (SERTs – Medical Assistant, EMT or Paramedic); 5 Hospital Unit Secretaries.

72% RN, all ACLS certified
Our organizational structure follows the Shared Governance model. It is made up of the nurse manager, associate nurse managers, clinical staff nurses, PCTs, unit secretary and others, as needed.
