- The Neurosurgical UPC strives to provide excellent care to our patients. Our main objectives are relieving our patients’ pain, ensuring their safety and satisfaction, and the satisfaction of our staff. With this in mind, we respond promptly to call lights, prevent falls, prevent suffering and involve staff in decision-making on the unit.
- Our Mission Statement: To improve the care of the neurosurgical patient by integrating evidence-based practice for excellent patient outcomes while enhancing staff satisfaction in the practice environment.
- Our Vision: To create and sustain a work environment for nurses, physicians and the interdisciplinary team, conducive to delivering one, unified standard of care to our patients and family members and improve patient care outcomes.

36 RNs, (BSN & Diploma Prepared); 2 ARNPs, 11 PCTs, 3 unit secretaries

69% RNs specifically trained in Trauma Nursing
Our organizational structure follows the Shared Governance model. It is made up of a nurse manager, clinical staff nurses, PCTs and hospital unit secretaries.
