At Holtz Children’s Hospital, our experienced team of pediatric nephrologists are leaders in treatment of infants, children and adolescents with kidney disease. Pediatric and adolescent patients from South Florida, the Caribbean and Central and South America with complex renal diseases are referred to the pediatric nephrology program at Holtz Children’s Hospital.
The Comprehensive Children’s Kidney Failure Center is located at Holtz Children’s Hospital and is part of a statewide renal program operated under contract with the Children’s Medical Services. Uniquely suited for the needs of renal disease patients under 21 years of age, it is one of three centers in Florida and the only Center in South East Florida, designed to treat children with less than 75 percent of renal function.
