The Miami Transplant Institute performs 120 to 140 liver transplants every year, making it one of the most prolific
liver transplant programs in the world. Patients choose our multidisciplinary team for their depth of experience,
as well as our outcomes – graft survival, transplant rates, and overall survival – that exceed statistically expected results. In addition, our team uses novel surgical techniques that increase the number of available livers for our patients awaiting a transplant. For reasons like these, not only do patients from around the U.S. and around the globe come to Miami for their liver transplants, but physicians at other transplant centers send their most complex cases to us.
