JACKSON NORTH BACK TO SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR

Miami-Dade County residents

Jackson North Medical Center is hosting a back to school health fair. The Miami-Dade County Health Department will be offering free immunizations to children whose parents bring their immunization record.

There will also be free fingerprinting for children, certified technicians performing free car seat safety checks and representatives from poison control distributing important, life-saving information.

Free mammograms, glucose tests, cholesterol tests, blood pressure checks and other screenings will be available. Jackson North’s medical staff will lead educational seminars about weight loss surgery and breast health.

The community is invited to take part in cooking demonstrations featuring healthy meal ideas.  Miami’s popular food trucks will also be on site.
