Community & Events

Saving lives is the top priority of every healthcare organization. But how the organization improves the health of the community it serves is an indication of its value to that community; and in South Florida, no one does more to keep you healthy than Jackson Health System.

Overview

At Jackson Health System, our commitment to community begins with our mission: to provide a single, high standard of quality care for the residents of Miami-Dade County.

We believe strong communities begin with the well-being of everyone who resides in them. That’s why we partner with dozens of organizations throughout the year to promote healthier lifestyles and encourage individuals to make positive health choices.

Upcoming Events

On Sunday, October 10, World Mental Health Day, Jackson Health Foundation invites our entire community to an inaugural outdoor family friendly festival as we raise awareness of mental health issues and support those that are affected by mental health. Funds raised will benefit the programs and services of Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital.

Enjoy an educational village from our experts, a nutrition village with samples of foods that can help boost mental health, a kids village and a main stage where you can participate in yoga, meditation, and exercise sessions. Enjoy a leisure walk along Biscayne Bay with your family, friends and co-workers showing support and awareness around mental health. Join us at Margaret Pace Park, 1745 N Bayshore Dr, Miami, FL 33132. You can register a team to help fundraise or register for $25 and receive a t-shirt and goodie bag.
