FREE IMMUNIZATONS AND HEALTH SCREENINGS AT JACKSON SOUTH COMMUNITY HOSPITAL’S BACK-TO-SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR

Parents can get a jump on the busy back-to-school rush by bringing their children to Jackson South Community Hospital’s Back-to-School Health Fair.

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County will be at the fair, offering free immunizations for children 18 years of age and under, accompanied by parents or guardians. Arrive early – there are a limited number of vaccines and physicals available.

For adults, there will be a limited number of free health screenings including mammograms, blood pressure and glucose checks, cholesterol screenings, foot exams and testing for PSA (prostate-specific antigen).

Meantime, kids of all ages can take part in games with prizes, hair art and glitter tattoos, and a photo booth. There will even be a Teddy Bear Hospital, where children can pretend to be doctors and nurses while caring for stuffed bears!

All events at the fair are free and open to the public.
