JEFFERSON REAVES, SR. HEALTH CENTER HOSTS COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR IN OVERTOWN

Who:

The Jefferson Reaves, Sr. Health Center, a comprehensive primary care clinic affiliated with Jackson Health System, will host a free community health fair for adults and children. The fair will address wellness and health issues facing the residents of Overtown and surrounding neighborhoods.

What:
|
There will be free testings for blood pressure, blood glucose, pregnancy and HIV, as well as free dental screenings for children ages 12 and younger. Free fruits and vegetables will also be provided by Farm Share.
The Miami Gardens Super Soul Steppers will perform their signature “step line dancing.” Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a 30-minute Zumba fitness class. Educational materials and a list of community resources will also be available.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to tour the facility, meet with doctors, and learn about fitness and wellness while connecting with local health care organizations.
