GRAND OPENING OF NEW ANTEPARTUM SUITES IN THE WOMEN’S HOSPITAL AT JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

The Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial is hosting a grand opening celebration of its new antepartum unit. The antepartum suites will cater to expectant mothers with high-risk pregnancies who require extended hospitalization prior to their delivery dates. This maternity unit has been renovated with all new features, a tranquil atmosphere, leading-edge equipment, 20 private suites, and amenities.
 
The remodeled area officially opened to patients last week.

All suites include high-tech fetal monitors, flat-screen televisions, hotel-style safes, pull-out couches for loved ones to sleep comfortably, and new, stylish bathrooms. A family room, and a coffee and snack area are among the additional amenities on the unit.

Over the last year, Jackson Health System has reinvested in its facilities by completing long overdue renovation projects, including the modernization of several patient floors at Jackson Memorial Hospital. All of these projects are being done with patient and family comfort as the goal.

In July, the “M.B. Fernandez Little Miracles Maternity Suites” at the Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial opened for new mothers and babies, as well as state-of-the-art operating rooms outfitted with the newest, most advanced technology for mothers delivering babies via Cesarean-section.

During the grand opening celebration Tuesday, tours will be offered of the remodeled antepartum unit.
