Jackson Health System at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

In honor of breast cancer of awareness, thousands of runners lined up on Saturday, October 17 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k. Donning pink capes provided by Jackson Health System, over 5,000 participants ran or walk the 5K. The proceeds of the race benefited the Susan G. Komen, which strives to end breast cancer and provide a network for survivors.

At the event, guests were encouraged to share their stories and take pictures as pink superheroes at the Jackson Health tent. Jackson Health System also had a team in their race, with about 100 employees participating in the run. Apart from distributing the capes, runners were also provided light fare and took pictures with their capes at the tent.

The Susan G. Komen walk marks the largest breast cancer related event of the season.
