Jazz at Jackson kicks off in the Health District

The South Florida Jazz Orchestra helped us kick off the first Jazz at Jackson music series and it was a great success. Employees, patients and patients families from all around the Health District enjoyed an afternoon of great jazz.

Jazz at Jackson builds on the Miami Jazz Cooperative’s five-year success of its lunchtime Jazz in the Gables concert series. The primary goal of the concert series is to give the healthcare community a brief respite from life’s daily stress, and through this experience broaden the audience for jazz, the only original American art form. Jazz at Jackson is made possible by a Public Space Challenge Grant from the Miami Foundation and support from the Jackson Health System.
