2016 Miami Kidney Walk with Miami Transplant Institute

On Sunday, March 20, the Miami Transplant Institute (MTI) took lifesaving steps toward raising awareness about kidney disease. Physicians and staff joined together to form the MTI Kidney Warriors, walking with hundreds of others at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park for the cause.

Hosted by the National Kidney Foundation™, the 2016 Miami Kidney Walk is the nation’s largest walk to fund impactful programs that educate and support patients, their families, and those at risk.

MTI also sponsored a booth providing giveaways and teaching families, friends, and community members about some of the Miami Transplant Institute’s exclusive initiatives, such as the Paired Kidney Exchange Program and the Living Donor Kidney Program.
