Run for a Cause – Life

On Sunday, October 23rd, our Miami Transplant Institute (MTI) miracle team participated in the Life Alliance Run-4 Life. Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency (LAORA), a Division of the Daughtry Family department of Surgery at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is one of the nation’s federally designated organ recovery agencies, which is certified and regulated by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).

Our team, the MTI Miracle Workers, included 15 members from both Jackson Health System and UHealth – the University of Miami Health System. Participants walked and ran in honor, in celebration, and in recognition of those who have donated organs, received organs, as well as those waiting for lifesaving transplants.

Life Alliance is a tax-exempt, nonprofit service organization that has the unique role of saving lives through organ donation and transplantation, as well as providing organs and tissues for research to advance medical science.
