Jackson Memorial Hospital, home to the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center (RTC), has received full re-accreditation from the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV) for the fifth time to continue providing sexual assault victim services in Miami-Dade County.

“Certification is not easy to achieve,” said Franchine Daley, program manager of the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center. “The requirements are stringent, and over the years various programs in the state have applied but have been unsuccessful in achieving certification. We are proud that RTC has been recertified to continue providing the full level of services required to help sexual assault survivors, their loved ones, and our community.”

Only centers certified through FCASV are eligible to receive Rape Crisis Program Trust Fund, Department of Health General Revenue, Office of the Attorney General Revenue, federal Violence Against Women Act (STOP), or federal Sexual Assault Services Program funding.

“Over the past couple years, RTC has made impressive strides in growing the non-medical segment of its services and has demonstrated considerable commitment to attending to the needs of the whole survivor,” said Grace Frances, FCASV director of certification and special projects. “RTC has also greatly expanded its community outreach. FCASV looks forward to our continued collaboration with the RTC in support of survivors.”

Established in 1974, the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center is the only center of its kind in Miami-Dade County.
