May is National Trauma Awareness Month 2015. To celebrate, the Miami Fraternal Order of Police will thank the medical team at Ryder Trauma Center for saving the lives of countless first responders. Ryder Trauma Center, located at Jackson Memorial Hospital, is one of the nation’s busiest trauma centers and it is world-renowned for its medical expertise.

During a press conference Thursday, the FOP will surprise two trauma surgeons and a nurse from the trauma resuscitation unit by making them honorary FOP members.
