Santa Claus; Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School Marching Band; City of Miami Fire Rescue Department personnel; Holtz Children’s Hospital patients

What:

Each holiday season, patients and visitors at Holtz Children’s Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital are treated to a visit from Santa Claus, accompanied by the marching band from Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School. The band parades around the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus, performing holiday favorites and entertaining visitors.

Santa arrives on a City of Miami Fire Rescue Department truck, is lifted on a telescopic hook-and-ladder towards the windows of Holtz Children’s and waves to patients inside.

Editor’s Note:

The finale with Santa, the fire truck and the marching band will take place in front of the Jackson emergency room and the Holtz Children’s Hospital portico on N.W. 17th Street, just west of 10th Avenue.
