Children Born Prematurely Reunite With Doctors Who Saved Their Lives At Holtz Children’s Hospital
Who:
Former babies treated in the Holtz Children’s NICU; University of Miami Health System neonatologists at Holtz Children’s; NICU nurses and supporters
What:
Doctors and nurses from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Holtz Children’s Hospital are celebrating the lives of children born prematurely and reuniting with them at the annual NICU Family Party. Children of all ages who have gone on to live healthy lives – some just months old, others who are teenagers – will celebrate with a Dr. Seuss themed-party.
They will be joined by the doctors and nurses who care for them as infants in the Holtz Children’s NICU. Former patients, some of them born as early as 24 weeks gestation, and their parents will also play games, have photos taken and share stories with other families whose lives were touched by the Holtz Children’s NICU staff.
