Jackson Health System Hosts Dedication Ceremony for Its First Freestanding Emergency Department in Miami-Dade County
What:
Jackson Health System will host a dedication ceremony to celebrate the future home of Jackson Medical Pavilion, which will be located on 3737 S.W. Eighth St. in Coral Gables.
The new facility will include Jackson’s first freestanding emergency department staffed by the health system’s highly skilled, board-certified physicians and compassionate nurses, as well as medical offices for outpatient visits with Jackson specialists.
While all of Jackson’s projects have relied on the support of Miami-Dade County taxpayers and the Board of County Commissioners, Commissioner Rebeca Sosa is the moving force behind Jackson Medical Pavilion. In the last couple of years, Commissioner Sosa has allocated funds from District 6 to form the foundation of the facility’s financing, and the result is a location that will serve numerous diverse communities in the heart of Miami-Dade.
Jackson Medical Pavilion is set to open to the public in spring 2023.
