Fort Lauderdale Boat Explosion Victims Receive Lifesaving Treatment at the Miami Burn Center

What:

Cassandra Rivera, a survivor of the tragic Memorial Day boat explosion in Fort Lauderdale, will speak publically for the first time alongside Dr. Carl Schulman, a Jackson/UHealth leading burn surgeon at the Miami Burn Center. Dr. Schulman will provide updates on the specialized burn care provided to Rivera and her family, including her two children who remain hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Holtz Children’s Hospital. He will also share treatments available at the Miami Burn Center for victims of burns. Rivera will share her family’s story.
