Jackson Health System Named in 2024 Top Healthcare Places to Work List
MIAMI, FL – Jackson Health System was named in Becker’s Hospital Review’s 150 Top Places to Work in Health Care for 2024. The organizations featured were selected by Becker’s based off a number of initiatives, including opportunities that the organization offers for professional and personal development, wellness benefits, and community engagement opportunities. The list also celebrates healthcare organizations and institutions that push for diversity in the workplace, promote a healthy work-life balance, and enhance employee engagement.
Jackson prides itself in offering a market-leading compensation and benefits program, including a defined benefit pension plan and pre-tax savings plans. Additionally, Jackson offers a fully-funded employee medical plan, dental, vision, and disability insurance plans, longevity bonuses, and an employer-sponsored 529 plan.
“At Jackson, we pride ourselves on delivering the best, most comprehensive medical care for our patients and their families. This would not be possible without our incredible physicians, nurses, therapists, environmental specialists, coordinators, and support staff,” said Carlos A. Migoya, Jackson’s president and CEO. “We strive to cater to the needs of our employees when they choose to work with us, which is why we ensure they are taken care of through competitive benefits and community engagement opportunities.”
“This national recognition is a testament to our employees at Jackson, and their commitment to delivering top-notch care to our community,” said Michelle Kligman, Jackson’s senior vice president of human resources. “We are incredibly proud of being named a top healthcare organization to work in 2024. This accolade motivates us to continue fostering a workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered to meet the needs of our community, through our shared focus on excellence in health care.”
In addition to the competitive compensation and benefits programs, Jackson is proud to showcase its diverse employee population, which reflects Miami-Dade County, through different initiatives across the health system and community. In 2018, Jackson partnered with The Black Archives to create an exhibit that honors the medical achievements and contributions of Black physicians, nurses, and clinicians throughout Jackson’s history. Moreover, Jackson is proud to have more than triple the number of women in leadership positions compared to the average healthcare organization in the U.S., and for several years, The Human Rights Campaign has named Jackson’s hospitals as leaders in LGBTQ+ healthcare equality.
