Jackson North Medical Center Unveils New Emergency Department
What:
Jackson North Medical Center will unveil its new and improved Emergency Department during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday.
The new renovations and expansion of the emergency department, which took nine months to complete, now feature separate entrances for adult and pediatric patients. The new emergency room doubled in square footage, and now features 29 rooms for adults, seven rooms for pediatric patients. It also features two isolation rooms and a room for bariatric patients.
Designed with the goal of becoming more efficient in the delivery of care to all patients, the Jackson North ED includes new radiology imaging services, which will allow clinical staff to obtain quicker diagnosis and make quicker decisions to admit or discharge patients.
During the event, media will be allowed to tour the new emergency room.
