Hall of Fame basketball player Earvin “Magic” Johnson is joining representatives from Simply Healthcare on Friday, November 30 at 12:30 p.m. to tour Holtz Children’s Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Johnson, the spokesperson for Simply Healthcare, will visit patients who are spending the holidays at the hospital and offer encouraging words to lift their spirits.

The visit comes as Simply Healthcare has partnered with Holtz Children’s Hospital and the Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial, to educate local healthcare providers about the services offered at Jackson.

Magic Johnson, along with representatives from Simply Healthcare and Holtz Children’s Hospital will visit several areas of the hospital, including the neonatal intensive care unit and the hematology/oncology unit at Holtz Children’s Hospital, and the postpartum unit at the Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial, Interviews with Johnson, Rivas and Lunsford will be available on-site. Members of the media will also have the opportunity to take photos or capture video of the visit.
