JACKSON SPONSORS INFANT CARE CLASSES AT BABIES“R”US STORES THROUGHOUT MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

Miami, FL – Jackson Health System has partnered with Babies“R”Us stores in Miami-Dade County to offer monthly baby care classes, taught by skilled Jackson maternity nurses. The classes, which are offered at Babies“R”Us stores in Cutler Bay, Aventura and Doral, are free and open to the public.

“There is no better group of professionals than Jackson nurses to teach new parents how to safely and properly care for their babies,” said Carlos A. Migoya, president and CEO of Jackson Health System. “This partnership with Babies“R”Us allows us to reach new and expectant parents in locations they’re visiting on a regular basis, and is just one example of Jackson gladly offering a helping hand to the community that we so proudly serve.”

Maternity nurses from Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jackson North Medical Center and Jackson South Community Hospital will educate new and expectant parents on how to care for their baby during the first six months of infancy. Classes focus on various topics, including infant safety, baby basics and breastfeeding.

  Infant CPR: 6:30 p.m., July 25
