INTERNATIONAL HISPANIC SOAP OPERA STAR WELCOMES BABY AT JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Miami, FL — International Hispanic soap opera actor Pedro Moreno and his wife, Barbara Estevez, are delighted to announce the birth of their third child, Christian Leo Moreno, at the Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Little Christian was born at 11:30 a.m., July 30 – the first child to be born at Jackson’s newly renovated Little Miracles Maternity Suite, which opened to patients for the first time earlier that morning. The bundle of joy weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and is 19 ½ inches long.

“We are overjoyed and feel so blessed with the arrival of our baby, Christian,” said Pedro Moreno.  “We are thrilled to learn he is the first baby to be born at Jackson’s newly renovated maternity unit, and we are so thankful to all the doctors and nurses for their support and medical care.”

Barbara and baby are doing fine and are expected to go home on Saturday, August 2.

Pedro currently graces the cover of People En Español as one of its 50 Most Beautiful People.  He’s currently filming Voltea Pa’ Que Te Enamores, set to debut on Univision next year, but has already been sold to several countries. He has also starred on Mexican soap operas, Una Familia Con Suerte and Corona De Lagrimas, with the largest and most important company in the world on Spanish entertainment, Televisa.

He’s also known for his performance on Univision’s Mira Quien Baila, a Spanish-language version of the popular Dancing with the Stars, where he came in second place and donated nearly $25,000 to Padres Contra El Cancer, a non-profit based on California that aids kids and their families suffering from cancer. Last year, Pedro also hosted Nuestra Belleza Latina, a beauty pageant in which the winner becomes the next TV personality for the Univision Network.

The Little Miracles Maternity Suites at the Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial is a renovated maternity unit with all new features, a spa-like atmosphere, leading-edge equipment, 20 private suites, and amenities for new mothers and families.
