Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Clinic

At Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Alex’s Place, children receive outpatient care in a new, 3,200-square-foot pediatric hematology-oncology clinic. More than a treatment site for children with cancer and blood diseases, Sylvester’s Alex’s Place is a space designed to empower young patients and support their families. The state-of-the-art facility features:

Flat screen monitors at each chemotherapy bay.
Soothing images and kid-friendly colors and themes on the ceilings of each exam room.
Interactive common areas designed to encourage fun games and activities.
An onsite classroom where patients can keep up with their schoolwork.
A tranquility garden for peaceful reflection and enjoyment outdoors.
