About Jackson North Medical Center
The $100-million modernization is complete and the result is priceless.
Jackson North Medical Center is new, inside and out. We’ve doubled the size of our emergency department and added a separate, designated pediatric emergency room. Labor and delivery suites have been refreshed to offer a spa-like atmosphere. Surgical suites have been outfitted with the latest technologies. And our Outpatient Rehabilitation Center has been upgraded with the latest equipment.
Inside, Jackson North also features a beautifully-updated lobby, reception area and dining center to complement our renovated patient rooms. While outside, the new Jackson North makes a great first impression with exterior designs courtesy of Arts in Public Spaces as well as an artistically-redesigned front entrance.
The finished hospital is miraculous, thanks in large part to the Jackson Miracle-Building Bond Program.

Our 382-bed hospital, located in North Miami Beach, serves the regions of North Miami-Dade and South Broward, and it’s one of Jackson Health System’s four full-service hospitals. Specialized Programs Offered at Jackson North
Aquablation Therapy and Urology Services
Jackson North Medical Center is the first in South Florida to use Aquablation technology in a procedure. The AQUABEAM Robotic System is intended for use in patients suffering from lower urinary tract symptoms resulting from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It utilizes a high-velocity sterile saline waterjet to ablate prostate tissue during a minimally invasive surgical procedure called Aquablation therapy. To learn more, click here.
Cardiology (heart and vascular) services
Our heart care specialists include interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiothoracic surgeons. Together, their efforts have saved countless lives. In fact, our fast-acting cardiology team has helped Jackson North earn distinction as a STEMI receiving hospital, outpacing the standards set by the American Heart Association and ACC Accreditation Services.
Our average time to intervene for certain types of heart attacks is 30 minutes faster than the national threshold.
Neurology and neurosurgery
Neurology and neurosurgery experts head our interdisciplinary team, allowing us to offer leading-edge procedures and the highest level of care. Our neurosciences specialists provide comprehensive treatment for those with injuries or disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, or other areas of the nervous system.
Rehabilitation services
Our integrated team of rehabilitation specialists assist patients during and after their hospital stay, improving their functionality, independence, and overall quality of life. We provide a variety of inpatient and outpatient services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Patients can also utilize our 10,000 square-foot gym, complete with a variety of rehabilitation equipment to address orthopaedic problems, developmental delays, amputation, neurological conditions, balance, and wound care.

Free Parking
For the convenience of our patients and visitors, parking at Jackson North is free.
Baby Stroller Parking Permit
Stroller parking permits are available to parents of children younger than 3 years old, allowing for convenient parking at designated spaces across Miami-Dade County. To purchase a permit, parents or legal guardians (with supporting documents) will need to submit a photo ID, and either a child’s original birth certificate, footprints, or hospital wristband. The permit costs $35.

Based upon Ordinance 13-104, amending Section 30-338.2 of the Miami-Dade County Code; parking fees may be imposed on vehicles displaying a disabled parking permit or license tag at Jackson Memorial Hospital facilities. However any such vehicle exiting the facilities in two (2) hours or less will not be charged parking fees.
* In accordance with Florida State Statute 316.1964, no parking fees will be imposed on any vehicle with specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts, or foot or hand controls, for use by a person with a disability, or any vehicle displaying the Florida Toll Exemption permit.
If you drive a mechanically altered vehicle or have a Florida Toll Exemption permit and qualify for free parking, please follow these guidelines:
- In the exit lane, communicate with the Customer Service Agent (CSA) via intercom to request a waiver of parking fees;
- The CSA will examine your vehicle to determine if the driver/vehicle meets the criteria for waiver;
- Once it has been verified that the waiver of fees is allowed, the CSA will record your name, address and specific vehicle information.
